Increases the effectiveness of

With an upgrader for items you will be able to enjoy a number of bonuses. These can include a variety of stats, in addition to a number of extra bonuses. These bonuses can be utilized on armor, weapons and trinkets. They can be used to improve the abilities of a character or add a new element of variety to their build.

The World of Warcraft upgrade system allows players to upgrade their gear by paying currency at an item upgrader.  item upgrading  came into play in Mists of Pandaria, and was further developed in Warlords of Draenor. It's a good way to increase the quality of your gear, allowing you to avoid the tedious grind of completing quests and avoid numerous wipes in Mythicand dungeons.

When an item is upgraded its basic type will change. The upgrade of a normal item will create an Exceptional item while upgrading an item that is Exceptional will result in an elite version of the same base item. The item will retain the same stats it had prior to upgrading however it will also get an additional bonus due to its new base type. This bonus will be randomly selected from the following options: the chance to acquire a weapon with an increased damage range, a chance to obtain an improved reload speed, or a chance to gain a higher max defense roll.

The amount of upgrades you make will determine the amount of extras you get. Each upgrade will increase the extras by up to 3 points. Each upgrade will also boost the main stats by +1.

In addition to the stat increases, some upgrades will also provide a random boost. These boosts can be valuable and should be considered when deciding on which items to upgrade. Some of these boosts are useful in specific builds (such Whistan's shield, for FB sorcs) while others can bring significant value to specific collectors.

Some items have an inherent boos that are less useful when upgraded, such as the Goldwrap which gives additional slots for potion. They are usually upgraded to add value to the perfect or nearly perfect item.

Costs

There are a few expenses related to upgrades of items. The first is the cost to perform the upgrade. The cost is based on the new level of the item and the number of perks it receives and is often expensive. Upgrades to a higher level (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) can be costly.

The second is the cost of the materials required to upgrade. The items used are typically either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and up) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). The amount of these items required is available in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

Upgrades to an item are a complex process that requires time. Depending on the size of the upgrade, it can take as long as 8 hours. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated based on the item's new ilvl bonuses, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, and other vital statistics. In certain cases upgrades can provide additional benefits. These perks are available on a list.

Rarely, the new advantages gained will cost more than one perk slot to acquire; in these situations, the upgrade will only replace the perks with the highest cost. Sometimes, the upgrader will make other changes to an item, like changing its weapon damage type or or removing an unwieldy or operative property. The cost for these changes is based on the item's current ilvl and it may require a special material like an adamantine alloy.

Success Rate

The upgrading of an item is based on the chance. Like any random system there is a chance that it will not succeed. There are several ways to increase the chances of success. This includes the use of an item dubbed an Upgrade Pity or the addition of extra items to the upgrade.

An Upgrade Pity is a product you can purchase from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the chance of an upgrade succeeding by a certain percentage. This is similar to the luck bonus some items have however it is more solid. It can be added to any weapon or armor, and is used three times.

You can also add other materials to the upgrade to increase the chance of success. These are displayed in a window above the + button. There are however limitations to this, and the largest amount of material that can be added is displayed just above the + button in the UI.

Another way to increase the chance of a successful upgrade is by using the item known as the Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item can be helpful when your piece of equipment or weapon is nearing or has reached the highest level of its tier. This item allows you to upgrade the equipment to the next tier without the risk of it breaking.

If an upgrade fails the system will be returned to its original state. This is usually a break, but it can also be an upgrade. It is a good idea to save an upgrade when you're near the maximum level of an item, and then use it as an option last resort.

Kafra offers a variety of items that can be utilized in order to increase the chance of an upgrade being successful. For instance upgrading an item of equipment with HD Oridecon or HD Elunium multiple times will give you more chance of success. Similarly, enhancing the chance to receive a Double Mint from Shoe-Minting a maximum of five times will also increase the chance of success.

Failure Rate

The upgrader for items allows players to add a second slot in their equipment. The slots can be used to upgrade an item or apply an enchantment. It is important to note that not all items can be upgraded. The rank of an item will determine the rate at which it can be upgraded and enchanted. The higher the rank, the more zeny and the items you'll need to upgrade it.

This system is costly particularly if you are seeking top-of-the-line equipment. It can cost between 100,000 z and 100 Carnium to upgrade an armor or weapon. The chance of success also decreases as you progress in rank. You can increase the chance of upgrading an item using cash shop items.

Normal Upgrade is the most basic upgrade that can be done on weapons, armor pieces and bicycles. It requires different grades of core, dependent on the type of item. In general, lower quality items require less expensive cores, whereas higher grade ones require higher-end ones.

You must have the right number of cores before you can perform a normal upgrade. Once you have them, click the button next to the item that you want to upgrade. The upgrade window will show a percentage indicator of your success chances. This percentage is determined by the level of upgrade for the item and the type you have selected.

You can also select a safeguard that will protect your item in the event of failure. The cost of this protection can vary however it will always be lower than the cost of a new item. The safeguard can only be used only once per upgrade and will not expire until it is used again.

The interface for the item upgrader can be somewhat difficult, but it's not impossible to navigate. The main menu is displayed on the left, and the upgrade window is on the right. The arrows on the left of the UI represent the various phases of the upgrade process. If you're not certain what you're doing, use the question mark icon to get assistance. The upgrade process can take anywhere from five to ten minutes.
